Job Description

Pricing

Co-ordinating with Manufacturing, Design, Commercial teams on understanding Product Cost.

Support & Advise Costing & Design team on various enquiries and tenders.

Conduct Market and Competitor and Vendor Research

Competitor Product Analysis.

Evaluation of New Products cost

Take necessary costing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring and accuracy in all costing matters.

Managing the proposal process for multiple proposals to stay on schedule and present them to the management for review and approval prior to final submission.

Prepare clearly BAFO (Best and Final Offers).

Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.

Analyze financial impact of price approach in view of overall history as well as profitability of customer.

 

Bidding

 

Working as a Bid Manager for various domestic tenders and performing successfully in all commercial and technical aspects of the bid.

Undertaking a Bid/No Bid exercise to decide whether to make a submission or not.

Interfacing with customers and getting feedback after bid submission.

Support and guide tendering and costing team on compliance with the technical and commercial requirement of the client and preparation of a competitive techno commercial bid.

To Understand, Interpret and respond to Technical Specifications as per Customer



Requirements.

Coordinating with Technical / Design Team.

Competitor GTP Analysis.

Doing Competitor Analysis to figure out the potential competition in the Market.

Ensure that all the client's questions have been answered as fully as possible, and that the organization has given itself the best possible chance of success.

Coordinate with SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) on Costing, Design, Manufacturing, Product Management.

 

 

Desired Competences

 

15 to 20 Yrs. experience in Cable Design, Technical function, Cable Pricing, Costing and Bidding function.

Good Understanding of Power Cables, Telecom and Specialized Cables – Domestic and International Markets

Knowledge of Costing tools.

Exp. in Product, Market, Competitor Analysis, Market Potential Mapping.

Excellent Market Understanding and Contacts across the Industry.

Strong Commercial Acumen

Good Coordination Skills

Good Interpersonal Skills
