Job Description

Business Head- Insurance:  The role involves a complete understanding of the Indian Life Insurance space, with good exposure to products and processes. As a Business Head you will have a complete P&L responsibility of the Insurance distribution business of our client. You will be responsible for leading the overall life insurance business development, client and product strategy, as well as, developing specific market plans that will create a robust pipeline for long-term growth in the Life Insurance distribution Practice.



Key Responsibilities:



Lead business strategy for the Insurance distribution business

Forge strategic partnerships with leading insurance companies

Drive innovation through differentiated product offerings

Manage all regulatory & compliance interaction with Insurance companies & internal teams

Define and implement overall Insurance product strategy, product development, and go-to-market plans.

Develop and manage a high- performance team in support of strategic and growth objectives.

Define and develop business plans, financial projections, and product positioning across multiple solutions in the Life Insurance marketplace.

Responsible and accountable for achieving financial goals and managing the Life Insurance Practice P&L.

Listen to clients and market participants to identify and cultivate new ideas to fuel the growth of the Life Insurance Practice.

Take responsibility for the overall growth of the category and for customer engagement.



Job Location: Bangalore (preferred)/ Mumbai



Education: Graduates / MBA in Finance (preferred)



Skills/Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of the life Insurance industry and the competitive landscape in the distribution of life insurance products.

Strategic thinker and industry thought leader with deep insurance industry expertise.

Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex business documents, detailed financial summaries, and multi-tiered insurance models is required.

Demonstrated business development of insurance business, cultivation, and relationship management skills with ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate position, negotiate, and drive solutions sales.

An outgoing, positive person who has the ability to develop high level relationships

Understanding of digital products and digital methods of distribution of insurance products Experience:

8+ years experience in business development, product management, and strategy in the Life Insurance Industry

Experience managing a P&L and leading both direct and cross-functional teams.

Strong C-level life insurance industry relationships.
